The formal starting point for learning to become a Certified Practitioner in Clinical Hypnosis is the Foundation training. After that, you can move on to the Deep Trance Approaches Diploma Training. You can study the Cognitive and Waking Trance Approaches certified training at any time. On successfully completing all three courses you will be certified at Practitioner Level in Clinical Hypnosis by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), their highest qualification. You can see how the training hours build up in the table below.
There are also informal introductory courses (see below). 'Very exciting!'; 'An excellent, charismatic tutor, passionate and showed deep understanding of his craft'; 'Highly recommended!'; 'Far exceeded my expectations - would definitely recommend'; 'Made me realise how important the brain is to our physical well-being'; 'Amazingly can be life changing & coming from an inspirational person , injected with a spark of true life , thank you.'; 'Can't wait for the next course!'Hypnosis and Therapy Hypnosis has a long history as a powerful tool for behavioural change and resolving psychological problems and encouraging our natural healing processes. In 1892 the BMA general council approved the use and value of hypnosis as a form of "orthodox" medicine, as opposed to complementary or alternative. In essence, the hypnotic state facilitates communication directly with the unconscious mind, in which problems have become 'memorised'. We believe that the fundamentals of NLP (neuro linguistic programming) provide an excellent framework for understanding and more effectively delivering change though hypnosis. This unique course in Hypnosis will deliver you the skills of hypnosis and discover how to use and develop strategies for using hypnosis for beneficial change, supported by the fundamental thinking and approach which comes from NLP. Indeed, you will be eligible for certification in NLP as a result of your studies in Cognitive & Waking Trance Approaches. This is how the studyhours for each training add up to Practitioner Certification.
This exceeds the minimum requirement laid down by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, which is 120 hours classroom tuition and 450 hours total study. For those of you who aren’t yet sure, and just want to ‘dip your toe’, why not experience one of my informal ‘taster’ courses? These are fun but seriously inspiring. Held in conjunction with Luton Adult Community Learning (Luton) and Oaklands College (St Albans & Welwyn Garden). More information <here>
