|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This Practitioner Training in Hypnosis offered by abetterlife has been assessed and validated at Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK). The course is designed for you to learn how to use formal (deep) Hypnosis within a therapeutic framework, for treating primarily clinical problems. It builds on your Foundation Training in Hypnosis, and forms Module B of two modules, (A) and (B), which together lead to Practitioner certification, the highest nationally recognised level of training as certified throught the GHSC. Module A is the 8-day training in Cognitive and Waking Trance Approaches. The aim is that you will be able to work safely, ethically and legally with the public, who may be at their most 'vulnerable' or delicate. To this aim, you will also carry out two case studies, with clients, under supervision. This training requires that you have previously satisfactorily completed the Foundation level training in Hypnosis. This training takes your capability to the next level, with its emphasis being on therapeutic strategies using formal (deep) hypnosis, ethical practice, and supervision. You will receive a Diploma on successful completion of your studies. At this level you may carry out therapy with clients, subject to making supervision arrangements. Even so, I strongly recommend that you complete your studies to full Certified Practitioner status, by studying Module A: Cognitive and Waking Trance Approaches. You will become competent to help treat the following:
If you have other professional qualifications, you may use your hypnosis training to treat a wider range of issues, according to your competence and training. This training
comprises of twelve days live training, private study, four writen
assignments, an open book test, 15 hours supervision, and supervised
case
studies. The minimum requirement for
certification at Practitioner Level as recognised by the GHSC
is 120 hours classroom study and 450 hours study overall.
Study
at Foundation, combined with modules A and B of the Practitioner,
exceed this requirement as shown at the foot of this page and,
altogether, are recognised as validated
training at Practitioner Level by the GHSC. The course content is shown
below. Download a bochure <here>.
You can choose to study Module A at
any time.
