This Foundation Training in Hypnosis with NLP offered by abetterlife has been assessed and validated at Foundation Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK).

Foundation is the entry level training, and will enable you to progress to Certifiied  Practitioner in Clinical Hypnotherapy.   No prior training or experience is required to join this course, which is validated by the GHSC.

Hypnosis is a powerful tool to enhance performance, enable behavioural change and resolve emotional and physical problems. You will discover how to hypnotise and resolve problems using hypnosis - which is what we mean by hypnotherapy. In particular you will discover:

  • The power of the unconscious mind
  • How to induce and deepen hypnotic trance
  • Introduction to therapeutic techniques using hypnosis
  • How to manage a full hypnosis session safely and ethically

The material is delivered within a clear ethical and ecological framework. The course is delivered over four weekends. Certificates are issued with accreditation by the GHSC, subject to successful demonstration of performance, full attendance, of the course and supplementary supervision (6 hours), and completion of an open-book exam. The GHSC require not less than 50 hours classroom / personal tuition for Certification at Foundation Level. In addition there should be:

  • Adequate opportunities to both practice and demonstrate essential skills and for group interaction;
  • Written assignments
  • Reading assignments

The course offered exceeds these requirements as follows:
Class Tuition (56hrs), Review (15hrs), Reading (20hrs), Practice (10hrs),  Assignment (reflective report - 10 hrs), Supplementary Supervision (6hrs), Practical and Written Exam (15hrs). Total study hours 127 hrs.
