VALIDATED TRAINING General Hypnotherapy Standards Council

This Practitioner Training in Hypnosis with NLP offered by abetterlife has been assessed and validated at Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK).

Summary

The course is designed for you to learn how to use Hypnosis within a therapeutic framework, for treating primarily clinical problems. It builds on your Foundation Training in Hypnosis, and is designed to be complementary to my training in NLP and Time Line Therapy^®. The aim is that you will be able to work safely, ethically and legally with the public, who may be at their most 'vulnerable' or delicate. To this aim, you will also carry out two case studies, with clients, under supervision. 

Course content

To study for the Practitioner Diploma qualification in Clinical Hypnosis, you will be required to previously qualify in Hypnosis at Foundation level. The training takes your capability to the next level, with its emphasis being on therapeutic strategies using hypnosis, ethical practice, and supervision. You will be certified at Diploma level. At this level you may carry out therapy with clients, subject to making supervision arrangements. Even so, I strongly recommend that you complete your studies to full Certification as Practitioner, by adding the NLP and Time Line Therapy^® training.  

Scope of practice

If you are unqualified in any other relevant discipline, we expect you to be competent to help with the following:

• minor neurotic conditions (including minor habits, phobias, unwanted behaviour) 
• reducing or eliminating pain (incl. chronic pain) and the symptoms of disease
• eating and weight problems; smoking
• stress, anxiety, past and present negative emotions, and
• a wide range of performance enhancement issues.
  

If you have other professional qualifications, you may use your hypnosis training to treat a wider range of issues, according to your competence and training. The course is delivered over 10 days, plus 15 hours supervision and two supervised case studies. Certificates issued with accreditation by the GHSC, subject to satisfactory performance in class, assignments, supervision, an open-book exam, and two supervised case studies after completing the course.

Course length and certification standard

Combined with the Foundation Training in Hypnosis, this Diploma training amounts to 138 hours class / personal tuition, and 320 hours in total. 

To achieve the higher Certification as Practitioner in Clinical Hypnosis with NLP, the GHSC require not less than 120 hours classroom / personal tuition, and 450 hours study in total. You may achieve this standard by combining our NLP Practitioner training. You wail then achieve not only one, but three separate certifications, as shown below: 

1. Certification as Practitioner in Clinical Hypnosis with NLP through the GHSC
2. Certified Practitioner in NLP by the ABNLP
3. Certified Practitioner of Time Line Therapy® through the Time Line Therapy Association !
