Concept: A voluntary commitment and mechanism to inspire, encourage and develop ourselves, in a professional yet supportive and fun environment. Key themes are meeting, networking, discussion, education, business development, support and public confidence.


Purpose – Continual development, or growth, is essential (to avoid the opposite!); helps us a practitioners work smarter and better; provides some assurance to us, clients, and other bodies with a stake in our activities now and in the future; Govt wish to see it; we are anticipating the trend.

Content and structure

Current ideas include – Round robin update of activities by members; presentation by a member on a topic of hi/her choice; followed by discussion; Items for next meeting to be agreed at end of each meeting, specifically in the form of who and what, exactly.

Presentation of a case, whether, past, current or hypothetical, followed by discussion; requests to the group for assistance; specific short training events, as proposed by members; demonstrations; practice techniques; invite public to mini-events.

First Tues in month. Currently no fee to attend. Always, the next meeting content to be agreed at the end of each meeting; specifically who and what.


First Tuesday each month, at 7 Overtrees, Holly Bush Lane, Harpenden

7.30 Welcome & Chairman’s update Chairman to confirm Agenda, welcome new participants, and present news / updates

7.45. Round Robin update (2mins each). All participants briefly provide update on month’s activities or present an issue of interest to Group; new participants have opportunity to say something about their training, experience, interests and activities, and reasons for being here!

Mr Richard Walker, trainer in NLP, Time Line TherapyTM and hypnotherapy. Runs busy clinics. Tutor for the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. Qualified as a Life Coach. Experience in business development, management, and enabling change in the workplace. Physicist, now developing ‘Physics of Wellbeing’ model of life. He lectures at Reading University on environmental psychology, on the MSc Course 'Intelligent Buildings'. Particular interest in transforming how people see and do things. Into windsurfing, running. Mr Paul Brackley Previously a Financial Advisor, now provides carers to the community. Studied ‘Life Mastery’ with Tony Robbins. Helicopter and aeroplane pilot. Now studying Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH), with special interest in OCD behaviour.

Mr Brad Stein Teaches at St Georges School, Harpenden. Degree in Psychology; special experience in Psychodynamic counselling and Therapy. Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH)

Mr Terry Southgate Probation Officer, used to work in IT. Masters Degree in Psychology. Now studying Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH). with particular interest in working with cases of substance abuse.

Ms Susheel Rao Experience in research and consultancy on Sustainability in the built environment. Now setting of as Life Coach, with links to sustainability theme in business and personal life. Qualified as NLP Master Practioner; also qualified in hypnosis.

Ms Helen Emms Experience includes the Army, psychology degree, and Human Resources, MBA. experience, qualified NLP practitioner, studying Master NLP, also studying Clinical Hypnosis.

Ms Kelly Summers, MSc Psychological Approaches to Health, Consultant Psychotherapist/ Master NLP Hypnotherapist, Registered Nutritionist. Runs ‘The Kelly Summers School of Thought’, http://www.bowelbaroness.co.uk/.

Ms Veronica Gammons Consultant Counsellor. Provides services to NHS and related organisations. Practioner in NLP and Time Line TherapyTM

Ms Margaret Warren Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. Teacher, at secondary school and Herts university, part time, specialising in English, careers and special needs. Research, and writes. Begun practising Hypnotherapy with the Wyndham Centre clinic.

Ms Kathryn Evans Studying Hypnotherapy at the LCCH. Also a musician, and ex chief examiner. Currently full-time Mum!

Mr Derek Birton practising hypnotherapist in small practice in Stevenage, also in London. Specialising in forensic hypnotherapy, and in using regression techniques. Sales and marketing background. Derek also plays ice-hockey!

Mr Chris Chibnall Diploma in Hypnotherapy from the European College of Hypnotherapy. Life sciences degree. Currently works as a Senior analyst in the healthcare industry. Website; www.relax-hypnotherapy.co.uk

Mr Mark Streeton. Mark has a degree in mathematics,, and left the IT industry to become a full time Hypnotherapist and Life Coach. He has a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (Institute of Clinical Hypnosis), Diploma in Life Coaching (Newcastle College) and is a NLP Master Practitioner (Bandler / McKenna / Breen).
