The CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Group is practice and forum set up to help students and peers to continue their learning and practice. Many of my own students as well as peers have asked for ongoing communication and support for in behavioural change techniques. The Government is also encouraging us to develop in this way, to maintain and enhance professionalism and standard. 

The Group is focused on NLP and Hypnosis, but from time to time others amongst you will find topics that interest you. 

Aims: A voluntary commitment and mechanism to inspire, encourage and develop ourselves, in a professional yet supportive and fun environment. Key themes are meeting, networking, discussion, education, business development, support and public confidence

To this end, the Group holds regular meetings, and I have an on-line bulletin board which holds resources and other useful information. We now have an email- based discussion group too! See below (or just sign up - see opposite).

Meetings

The group meets monthly, on the first wednesday of each month. A typical meeting will comprise of an update of activities by members, followed by a presentation by a member on a topic of his/her choice, and discussion. The presentation may be a case study (past, current or hypothetical), requests to the group for assistance; specific short training events, demonstrations, or discussing or practicing a technique. We open the meeting to 'all-comers' when the topic is suitable.

Venue: The Friends Meeting House, 12 Southdown Road, Harpenden AL5 1PD (map). It's just £5 on the door to cover admin, room hire and to subsidise speakers! Agenda is roughly as follows: 7.30 Welcome; 7.45. 'Round Robin' update and open discussion; 8.00 Main item: presentation or practice & discussion;9.15. Agenda for next month! 9.30 Close.

The Forum Bulletin Board
